Cognivio

Get signals in and out of an ST 2110 facility

Cognivio makes two pieces of software for broadcasters on IP: a gateway between ST 2110 and the compressed protocols the rest of the world uses, and a probe that shows what every flow on the network is doing.

Signal path: ST 2110 video, audio and ancillary flows pass through the Cognivio gateway and leave as SRT, UDP and HLS; UDP, SRT, RIST, RTMP and WebRTC streams come back in as ST 2110; the probe taps the ST 2110 side and reports PTP lock. 2110-20 video 2110-30 audio 2110-40 ancillary ST 2110 to switcher ST 2110 Gateway SRT UDP HLS UDP SRT RIST RTMP WebRTC ST 2110 Probe PTP locked Inside the facility Outside

ST 2110 Gateway

Uncompressed ST 2110 flows leave the facility as SRT, UDP or HLS. Contribution feeds arrive over UDP, SRT, RIST, RTMP or WebRTC and enter the production network as native ST 2110.

Every flow on the wire, its SDP, its clock and its packet health, in one view. Find the cause of a problem before it reaches air.

What the probe shows

Professional software for video infrastructure

Cognivio builds scalable solutions for video streaming, processing, broadcasting and video management, for telecom operators, broadcasters and enterprises. Our current focus is the move from SDI to IP: SMPTE ST 2110 infrastructure, its connection to existing compressed workflows, and the tools engineers need to run it with confidence.

Both products are software and run on standard servers, with a web interface and an API. More about the company
